Tenywa John’s Story
Tenywa John, is a young boy being raised by his aunt after losing his father and being separated from his mother. He is cheerful, active, and eager to attend school, but his aunt faces financial challenges that make it difficult to provide all the support he needs.
Odyssey Foundation Uganda has supported John with shoes, books, a school bag, and other essential items. Continued assistance with school fees, clothing, bedding, and educational needs can help him remain in school and work toward a brighter future.
Kawuda Patience’s Story
Kawuda Patience comes from a family of seven children and lives with sickle cell anaemia, a condition that requires consistent medical care, proper nutrition, and a safe living environment.
Her family faces serious financial challenges that affect access to treatment, education, food, suitable bedding, and secure shelter. Despite these difficulties, Patience and her siblings continue to show strength and hope.
Support toward healthcare, school requirements, food, clothing, bedding, and improved shelter can help create a safer and more stable future for Patience and her family.
Geoffrey & Pelinah’s Story
Geoffrey and his sister Pelinah live with their elderly grandmother, who depends on small-scale farming to provide food for the household. The family has limited resources and struggles to meet the children’s education, healthcare, clothing, and other basic needs.
Despite these challenges, both children deserve the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a more secure future. Support toward school requirements, healthcare, clothing, food, and household needs can help ease the burden on their grandmother and improve their wellbeing.
Ampurila Gabriel’s Story
Ampurila Gabriel is a joyful and friendly six-year-old boy who was born with Down syndrome. Although he develops and learns differently from other children, Gabriel is intelligent, affectionate, and full of personality.
He enjoys football and playing games on mobile phones. His mother explains that he sometimes struggles to keep up in class and needs additional learning support, including repeated guidance and specialised educational assistance.
Gabriel’s family hopes to give him every opportunity to learn, grow, and live confidently. Support toward education, therapy, learning materials, and other essential needs can help improve his wellbeing and future.
